Neither can I. There is little chance (if any) that we get a big enough TV deal to encourage that, even for one school.

Maybe if the ACC endures a super raid, they'll grab a bunch more BE schools, but I can't envision the ACC going under, or even merging with the entire BE.

the bigeast isnt getting 17mil a yr from anyone in tv.As for syracuse they dont want to file a suit against the bigeast but are ready if negoitiations dont go as they hope, settling for 7-8mil as most fans think is reasonable . Most syracuse fans i know have wanted to be in the acc since the 1st acc raid of the bigeast. If fsu and or clemson left for the big 12 the acc would backfill with teams from the bigeast(you know the teams.) As for the bigeast tournament we will miss in at the garden but im sure we will work out to have plenty of non conference games there yearly. I hold no ill will towards the new bigeast but personally id much rather be in the acc than the spread out bigeast .

The old Big East exit fee is $5 million and 27 months.

West Virginia paid $20 million to get out in just under 9 months.

Pitt and Syracuse should pay at least $10 million to get out in 21 months.

Some UC fan on another site made a joke about that:

I wonder if Pitt can now sue both the BE and the ACC for the same thing, at the same time... 03-lmfao

That's simply the history of these deals. Pitt and Syracuse will leave and it will probably won't be for much more than the $5 million exit fee.

I ave been saying $7.5 million, each. Thats fair and reasonable.

If we don't get any new "leadership" soon, you may get 6.
