My wishes for the ACC
#1 - The conference will stay together until the end of the contract

#2 - The new NCAA playoffs will have fair $$ distribution and will not have huge windfalls for conferences making the semis and finals

#3 - Significant improvements on the field in terms of OOC wins and BCS wins in FB

#4 - Improvement in NCAA tournament basketball

#5 - No more scandals

#6 - Improvements in attendance (hoping Pitt steps up)

#7 - ND joins

What's yours?

I'm fine with all except No. 7. Let's work with what we have and try to get better.

Ditto on #7.

I wish SU & Pitt would hurry up and join the conference. Do you guys need help packing? (Bad back, can't lift anything over 12 ounces!)

RE: My wishes for the ACC
100% agree with all 7 points in the OP. I'd even be willing to take Navy as #16 if that seals the deal w/ N.D. Adding the Irish gives instant street cred.

In the big scheme of things I think #2, #3, and #4 are all critical. That's how the ACC can make more money (although who knows what #7 would do for the TV money... if they were worth $9 million by themselves in 2008, what would they be worth in the ACC now, when TV networks are paying $21 million/year to show Colorado vs. Utah?)

and maybe even develop a little of that "Us against the world" attitude we see in the SEC

better yet - on field improves so much that the ACC is putting 2 teams into the playoffs and the other conferences are hoping for fair $$ distribution

4+ teams in the elite 8; 2 teams in the final 4; multiple championships; lots of NCAA $$

UNC sticks to basketball & field hockey

sell-outs every week; noizy, electric game atmosphere

The only time a ram is good is on a spit over hardwood coals and a good baste. Otherwise they are pretty much worthless.
