Clemson is 12th
FSU is 13th
#14 could be:

Maryland
another ACC Team
Rutgers
Cincinnati

Bottom line is Louisville and one of Clemson or FSU will join Big 12 for 20123-2014 season.

If true my #14 for "selfish reasons" is Cincinnati...but for most bang for $$$$ it would seem to be Rutgers.

Either way I just don't think 5 years from now Louisville and UConn will be members of the BIG EAST and likely Rutgers will be gone as well....it will suck for USF & maybe UC.

And Boise State is backing out it appears so SDSU will, too.

I can't understand why WVU wouldn't want Louisville in the league with them. Its a ready made rivalry and its a school in their neck of the woods.

my guess is they (the fans) see fsu or clemson being better gets for football purposes. however given current circumstances there are better odds louisville will go than fsu and clemson will go, even with fsu's current financial situation.

i'm one who thinks that wvu despite the senatorial mess was always in favor of uofl going to the big 12 with them. not only is it a ready made and building rivalry and in the same general area of west virginia but somehow i get the feeling that west virginia just wants to be in the same conference as us regardless (i firmly believe that should the situation have been reversed louisville would reciprocate). their past actions seem to state as much.

I hope a breakthrough with the ACC is about to happen. Why would Jurich mention the ACC if there was no shot?

UofL has been approached by The ACC as a possible #15 or #16. We talked about that last month here.

If I've said it once, I've said it a 1000 times...if the ACC doesn't lose anyone, I'd much prefer the ACC. Sure, the football is weaker and the overall money is less HOWEVER, I truly feel we fit in MUCH better culturally with the ACC region than the BigXII and I would love to be associated with them academically. Further more, I'm OK with winnable-yet-more respected football and being in the new, undisputed king making conference for basketball. Frankly, I could even stomach the loss of a Clemson and still be OK going there.
