What is Louisville's value to the New Big East?
What is Louisville's value to the New Big East? Here is my recent observations:

1) All the newbies, well most, are all saying the New Big East will be find without Louisville'
2) Same goes for UConn fans.
3) The Catholic seven are silimar in their opinions.
4) Notre Dame fans as well.
5) South Florida and some Cincinnati fans get angry.

So I ask you, if we have no great value and no other conference would want us, then why are all the Old and New Big East teams constantly spinning why the New Big East does not need us? Seems like any reporter that talks about the value of adding Louisville or why another conference wants us is immedately labeled a troll or stupid. So if we are so worthless why all of this negative re-action, because why should they care if we leave? I detect a huge amount of jealous emotions filled with hate. It is like being in CUSA again right before we un-@ssed that hell hole!

Just like losing Syracuse,Pittsburgh,WVU, sure You move on but You always looked to those Bright Shining Stars as a measuring stick when We came into the Beast. You overlooked the fact that the talent level might have dropped in several schools but They were Georgetown, ND, Villanova, St. Johns ,UConn, tradition You looked up to.Now just another game to play on the way to Conference Championship.
New Schools see us as that Shining star also. But They realize We might be shipping out and They can't stop it if it happens.

I know that Rutgers fans have not been rude about it. I hope when it happens that it is Louisville, Rutgers, Cincinnati and FSU! 04-cheers

To be fair Wilkie I can understand how constantly hearing how we are leaving would be aggravating.

I don't think they have a low opinion on the value of UofL so much as they don't like the Louisville posters who keep shoving it in there face.

They just want a stable league where they can see their program grow. Louisville's potential departure adds a great deal of instability. Until something actually happens, the "wait" really just makes things harder.

I don't think that I was ever disparaging or rude to Louisville. The Cards have one hell of a total sports program and I wish you guys luck wherever you end up.

Certainly, I don't begrudge Louisville for acting in its own self interests and trying to better its situation. That "self interest" concept has always been my mantra about the decisions made by Notre Dame.

Tom Jurich and the Louisville administration have to do everything in their power to advance the self interests of Louisville. If anyone thinks anything else, they are crazy.

My only take on the BE board was that if Louisville leaves, then the Big East will do what it always does and add another school. The BE will likely survive and move on, if seriously diminished, as it has before.

Obviously, I want the Big East to survive and be good enough for ND to keep its other sports there and stay a football independent.

But, I hope you guys never take my pro-ND stance as being anti-Louisville. That is not the case, at all.

Good luck to you.

Thanks Terry, We enjoy playing ND, wish a Football game or Two with UL could happen. Lots of ND fans in Southern Indiana and Kentucky.
