Some say they are ready for FBS football and ready to get down at CUSA. What do you think Marshall fans? If 16 teams were invited and you had to choose between JMU or MTSU, who would you choose and why?

So lets all start by reading this article and discuss if MTSU can make it to CUSA.

Quote:Outraged Blue Raider fans have spent the last few weeks blasting MTSU President Sidney McPhee and athletic director Chris Massaro for a lack of transparency in their efforts to woo CUSA.

The barbs have mostly come in emails and message boards. McPhee has been accused of turning down an invitation to join CUSA, a targeted league for the school and fan base for years. Massaro has been charged by some as sitting on his hands while a vehicle headed for greener pastures drives by.

RE: Today I am a Marshall fan
Honestly, with ODU already joining, I don't think we want JMU. It's not a diss against them in any way, just that we would rather bring in a school in a different market than a second FCS call up from the same state. I think James Madison will end up joining the MAC and will be a great fit for the league academically, etc.

As for MTSU, I would have rather seen them get invited than Louisiana Tech. I understand that we wanted to kill the WAC, but Nashville is an infinitely better market than Ruston and I think the Sun Belt was a tougher conference last year. I would never choose MTSU over ODU and I definitely don't want us to fill up more spots in the conference when the Big East is in this precarious situation.
