RE: Not a blame the officials type thread
I would trade Rudy for a case of beer and a couple gift certificates to olive garden.

I'd trade Conley for a 40 and a steak and cheese from Yums.

Everything said in this thread is true, however, it isnt why we are losing this series right now. We are losing this series because they have Chris Paul and we don't.

YOU my man understand and have utilized THE KOBE SYSTEM and are now successful.... I can tell.
What's funny BigJLB, is that NONE of the ones who were blaming Rudy for not playing D has chimed in now that actual footage shows otherwise. They're simply basing their opinion of Rudy based on his lack of D pre grit n grind days (yes he was horrible however he only had OJ back then to help w/the scoring load so he rested on D his early grizz yrs.... he actually tries and does a decent job nowadays).
Perception tells the haters one thing, yet actually analyzing the game footage says something totally different.
In the loss Monday night Rudy was 4 for 20 at one point and finished 8 for 25. You can look at your video all day long but those numbers do not lie.

Rudy is lazy on defense. He can't stay in front of his man. He doubles the post too slow and at the wrong time.

Had they called Bledsoe for humping his back instead of waiting until he had turned the ball over to notice contact then I think Gasol plays the whole 4th.
With that said I still think Conley would have allowed Rudy to jack shot after shot instead of trying to run our offense.
You lost me on the part I highlighted. Rudy didnt shoot and barely even touched the ball in the last 6 minutes of the game before his 3 pointers at the end that almost won it for us. But the Grizz got plenty of questionable calls in their favor as well
Was that like 3 games in a row where Rudy jacks up a bad shot at the end of the game? Is he the only go to guy in that situation?

RE: Not a blame the officials type thread
Rudy is the only player who demands a double team. Zach is mortal now due to surgery (evans guarding him mono e mono).... Marc takes the 4th Q off (Hollins agrees).... Conley is just a jumpshooter (that doesnt win PO games).
Who besides rudy has seen consisting double teams? Hence the occasional 8 for 20+. Btw, kobe, bron, melo, kd have nights like that as well given their the focal point of other teams as well.... Just saying.

Stop talking sensible. Those type of facts don't fit their argument/agenda.
I will say this, though. Conley has the ability to do much more and shows it at times. He just doesn't have the "it" factor late in tight games where he imposes his will on opposing defenders. Not sure if it's lack of confidence or what.k But, he crumbles late, usually and defers to others to "make" plays when he should be the facilitator. IMHO

Exactly. Instead of dribbling up the court and stopping at the 3 point line to pass to rudy to create for himself, push the ball w/purpose so the D can react THEN pass to a player who can attempt to score while the D is scrambling. This is how Marc can get involved. Worse case, draw the foul (sell it like Parker and Cp3).
Conley's too predictable in late time situations...

RE: Not a blame the officials type thread
Game 5, Knicks vs Miami.
Carmelo with 27 pnts on 27 shots with 9 mins to go. Commentators say Melo needs help and others to step up (Stoudemire not 100%... injury to Lin & Shumpert... not enough time for ny players to learn each other)..... Sounds familiar.
I hate being right btw.
