The "student body" will always be living there. Yes individual students cycle through every 4 years, but most kids that age are like-minded people.

I also worked on campus and went to summer school, I was in town more than a local that would vacation for 2-3 weeks a year.

Couldn't find anything googling it. Guess we'll have to wait on the transcript to get posted eventually.

I was just thinking the same thing.

I still can't believe that Kansas had a track around their field too.

If either of you can find a flat spot of ground big enough for a track in Boone, that doesnt cost upwards of $20 million, let us know, we'd be happy to move it.

Sorry I am a flatlander and don't consider those type of things.

Don't you know that our football receivers are so fast they need that extra room to slow down?

Seriously, just read this morning where our track team won the long distance event at the Penn Relays (or Penn State Relays) setting a new time that had held since 1984. Michigan came in second. Men and women recently won the conference championships in track also. There is a plan to build another track and field with the $200,000,000 building campaign. I saw weeks ago where they had raised over $135,000,000 of that 200 million so shouldn't be too long. They plan to put a huge end zone seating in Kidd Brewer Stadium (football) which would cover the track and a third deck on the East side of the stadium. Been told could have attendance over 45,000 with those additions. Administration has said we are just waiting on being invited to an FBS conference to go ahead with the additions.

Two open endzones, and even with the new seats on the visitors side, those can be built up/expanded. App will hold 30K now with the lawn seats, so depending on how they build seats in that endzone, they could easily bring capacity to the 40K range.

Texas State has built a new track complex. The track in Bobcat Stadium is coming out.

What will you do with that space?

Will fans get to be closer to the field?

I do know that they are not going to dig the field down, they can't because of the water level, and the Edwards Underground Aquafer under the stadium. I think alot of that is just going to be more space for the football teams.

The north side complex will come right to the field, the area around the sidelines I imagine will be used for additional sideline space and cheerleaders and other sideline things.

I could easily live with that track as long as they promise to cease and desist any further use of that God-forsaken "Hot Hot Hot" campaign from hell!

Jeez, after I regretfully clicked on "Play" that dark day, that damn song bounced around inside my head like an armor-piercing shell for hours.

Comparatively speaking, I have no problem with the track. 04-cheers

Appy should never have let that leak....but I have my suspicions it may have been mind-control. Think about it...the Hot, Hot, Hot thing went viral, people paid attention to Appy..

We have got to make this package move to the Belt...App and Southern have a uncanny knack for peeing in each other's KoolAid.

Also, this board is great. If we get called up to the Belt, you can be sure Southern will be chompin at the bit to dethrone some of the big boys OOC. I'm in favor of the Belt, y'all have done some serious work...kudos.

If it were up to me, you and Appy would join us, mind control, or not.

I just hope to never here that song again.

The track is going to be built over when we go into the Sun Belt.

We hate the thing also. Was a project done by some students. Think they didn't get too good a grade on their project, so they put it on the internet to doom us forever.

I believe it is eight to twelve years old.

They have done well. Shows what a stable conference can do. Would like to see them get larger conference wise to counteract the other conferences and watch each others backs.

Some Canadian school made an update of "Hot,Hot,Hot" that was pretty good.
