well he didn't set our house on fire, at least not yet, but he hauls them off into fayette county or the farthest county from the sight.
he is a member of the TN trapper org, they are only allowed to capture and not kill, unless it is "accidental" or self defense.

Use the sticky strips and NOT the poison baits. Trust me on this. I put out the poison baits and one crawled down in our wall and died. Smelt like death for a week and this was during Thanksgiving weekend with the dinner at our house. At least it was cold that year and we could open the doors.

reasonably priced, great person Anthony or Tony, does it on the side, is also a G'twn firefighter

What does he do with the live squirrels when he hauls them off?

Who cares as long as they are gone? They aren't an endangered species or anything.

This kind of reminds me of the terrible movie "Saving Silverman"

We have not had them inside, but they have been destroying any plants outside, especially tulips. Since Easter, we have caught one every other day.
Just our of curiosity, what do you do with them after you catch them? I can't see flushing them down the toilet.
We live in Germantown, so I evict them from the City. My route to work takes me by the Lowe's at the Wolf River. I swing by behind the buildings for sale and let the silly things loose in that field to the east of Lowe's.

One of them, a little high on sugar I guess, cut and ran for the contractor's entrance, thought my goose was cooked, then he made a hard left at the last minute.

The first thing we caught in the trap was a raccoon, that dude was ticked. Took him out to my parents farm and finally got it to back out and run.

As an update, caught #8 this morning.

Well, after reading this thread, I bought some PB, and sunflower seeds (no shells). We have a trap already, since we have a squirrel problem. The squirrels do not even look at the cage, do not go near it. So I put some pistachios outside of the cage. Nothing. Sprinkled some peanuts left over from a Rangers game,...nothing!

These red squirrels in Texas must be smarter than the TN grey squirrels!

Put some camouflage around the cage. Twigs and cuttings from privet hedge or almost anything to disguise the trap. They have sensitive smell so there could be some sort of odor on the trap you cannot smell that is keeping them from going inside. Or if they are that smart put up a sign "Free PB&J sandwiches inside"
