RE: Good news for the Big XII
Baylor should still be good, they do have a 5-star and two 4-stars in their incoming recruiting class as well. TCU basketball is gonna get demolished next year, new coach hasn't signed any recruits yet and two of Christian's incoming recruits have been released from their LOIs.

I had that view until Syracuse in the 2003 national championship game. Not so much anymore.

Baylor's biggest impediment to winning the conference will continue to be Scott Drew's understanding of how to blend his preferred coaching style with the talent he has available. Last year, the ceiling for his team was its lack of organization on the court.

RE: Good news for the Big XII
With the NBA no longer taking high school kids it is much more common for a true freshman to be a major difference maker in the landscape of college basketball.

RE: Good news for the Big XII
There are a few freshmen that are capable right off the bat. But they're not as common as you think...

F'in Gerry McNamara! Everyone talks about 'Melo, but it was his long-range bombardment that killed us! 03-banghead

Carmelo still scored 20 points and pulled 10 rebounds... I still curse Hakim Warrick's name.

Phog, Gerry McNamara was somebody that half the fans across the nation would have loved to see get popped in the face...
