Does anyone else think we have too many schools that use red predominantly as their color? I was thinking this today at the UL-USA baseball game as both base coaches had red jackets on. We have USA, WKU, and UL with essentially the same shade of red. Troy gets a pass because its a different shade. stAte's unis are primarily black but that might change with their new announcement.

At least UL has black britches to differentiate themselves. USA and WKU basically use the same scheme of a red jersey with white pants.

I really wish South would incorporate more of the darker blue into all the sport's uniforms, as our colors are red, white & blue.

Troy's official colors are Cardinal, Silver, and Black.

UL's colors are Vermilion and White...black just kind of happened.

Finally! :idea:an answer as to why GaState is going to the Belt! It is the color scheme...........they needed someone with blue to offset all the reds.

I like South's uniforms. The only thing they need to change is the helmet design, it's tough to see the logo at a distance.

Yeah, this is another gripe of mine. I can deal with the red jersey if we keep the blue pants they tried out last year. White pants is just overdone imo.

ASU's colors are Scarlet and Black. We wore our Red jerseys more than anything at home the past few years in football. Some of our fans prefer the all black, but we are the "Redwolves".

All the fans sitting near me loved them too.
They tried out a few alternate schemes last year and I think this was the hands down favorite.

I like the home whites as well.
Let the visitors play in their dark jerseys in this crazy heat and humidity.

Black and Gold and Blue and White would be a nice breakup in conference play

Well add FAU to the "Red" uniform crowd in the Sun Belt.

Now my understanding is that it will not be our standard Away or Home uni, but they will have a red one for "special" games. Im assuming these are going to be FIU, (FAU has for years marketed RIVALARY RED for our games against the Kitties) and perhaps TV games.

I went to the recruiting dinner and they had mockups of the new uni's and there was a red variant. No timeline on if they are for this year or next but rumor has this year. They also had feathers on the shoulder a la Oregon.

Man, I'm excited that South Alabama is joining the conference. May be my new favorite team in the SBC.

I do agree about the helmets though...

I like South using the red uniforms, but I really liked the all blue uniforms and the all white uniforms.





As far as helmets, it'd never happen because this logo is strictly to be used with baseball, but I'd love this as a helmet:

Surprise, MT is blue-heavy. Well, we have another mainly blue team. GSU... Cool?

Some South fans don't really care that much for the blue unis, but I think they look great. Back when we started basketball blue was the dominant color.
