RE: Would Cullop go to Michigan?
Wow, a bigger name like Michigan in a more prominent conference is jest now getting a state-of-the-art practice facility and updates to a dated arena? Our poor little backwoods school in a tiny, out of the way conference had them newfangled thangs for a few years now. Course, our pitiful little football squad knocked off one o' them big boys from that prominent conference a couple years back and just slapped that same school around a bit on the ole ball diamond tother day as well. Maybe Ms. Cullop oughter jes stay put.

The thing that most stood out to me about my visit to "The Big House" wearing my UT gear, before roaming the nearby neighborhood, during and after the game not one person wearing Michigan, not one usher treated me as if I was "backwoods." I was very impressed by that. Several Michigan fans even made it a point to congratulate me on our team, as if I had anything to do with it. A few groups wearing UT gear actually ignored our hellos. "Shrug"
The only thing that could have made the experience better would have been free beer and women in daisy dukes.

Cullop has full admin support, strong relationships w community, assts, players, etc... the only thing michigan offers is a bigger name and more prominant conference. in reality, mac women's hoops are comparable to big ten. i.e. ut 2-0 vs big ten, emu beat mich, lost at msu by one, bg lost to pudue by 2, cmu beat purdue

Only the Big10 had what 7 teams in the NCAA tourney?
The MAC had one, and that one lost by 30.

Just a wild guess but if BG, CMU and UT were also in the NCAA tournament, I'm sure at least one of those teams would've advanced.

Agree. All the UM fans I met or bumped into (not literally) were not abusive in any way. I am also an alum of UM - but I grew up an OSU fan and could never cheer for Michigan. That all changed on that day. I know what would have happened had we won in Columbus and how fans would have been treated.
