The Big 10 students have almost zero fees. The MAC schools are around 50% of budget. You can see why students could be upset.

NIU is only 37%. Looks like most IL schools are under 40% except Ill St.

ILLINOIS STATE is the only IL school OVER 50%.

Maybe but the Big whatever number schools charge their students to attend sporting events(well, at least the main ones). Of course, if one doesn't attend sporting events it won't cost them so it would be beneficial to them.

I'm sure you could just get the information from Athletics.

For 2011, osu students had to pay $170.00 for season tickets.

For 2012, Wisconsin students have to pay $188.00 for season tickets.

04-jawdrop

And thats for crappy corner/endzone seats.

I like my $110 seats on the 25 in the 21st row.

...though I wouldn't mind paying more to see an AQ team at HS.

The Iowa students sell out their student allotment season tickets every year. This upcoming season the students pay $175 for all the tickets including the Nebraska game and if they don't want to attend the Nebraska game it is $150.00. Basically have a waiting list of students before classes even start in the fall. We could only dream

They also pay for men's basketball tickets. IIRC, students get in free for the other sports.

Not part of my dreams! I'm very happy with where we are. I would not want to pay what their non-student fans pay for season tickets.

At this point, I have about reached my limit for annual HASF donation, chairbacks, season tickets, and donation to the capital campaign du jour. Because of my financial commitments to NIU, I cannot attend any more away games (except the free game). Any increase in ticket prices will reduce my donation to the HASF and/or whatever else they are collecting for.
