This sort of supports what I've been saying about late season non-conference games on ESPN. It benefits all parties involved so something would most certainly get worked out.

Let's get in Compher's ear about reaching out to BYU for at least a 4-year 2:2 series.

This is not something that I can get an answer via e-mail. I was hoping to get the unofficial answer at the spring game.

If you want to e-mail AD Compher with any suggestion go for it. He does read all of his e-mail (except from Dog Fan;-), is open to suggestions and typically reply’s at least with a, thank you for the suggestion.

I have sent him an e-mail several times about different scheduling requests and questions and typically I get a politically safe answer so that is why I am not really pushing it now.



As for the CMU vs Navy game I think it stinks that they got this slot since that was one of the last 3 national TV slots guaranteed to the MAC. That means that they picked this over NIU/Iowa, Toledo/Cincinnati & WMU/UCONN and one of them will likely get the ESPN3.com shaft.

I swear to God if I get cut of driving on the freeway by another minivan with a BYU sticker also waving the BYU flag (All year mind you) I will go into road rage. BYU fans are classic examples of knowing nothing about football, and waving the noses up in the air like they are better than all. If BYU and NIU play, and when NIU wins at BYU, I will rent a billboard outside Provo Utah that reads “ Huskie Football! That Just Happened” or “NIU Huskies! Gods Team!” or “NIU Football, Cult Free”…:
Really tough hearing all the garbage on BYU, Utah is not as bad, and they are pretty educated fans. Hard part about BYU fans is watching them wear the matching BYU shirt, pants, and hat all year long.
I would love for these games to happen, and when BYU walks into NIU, I expect a very hostile playing environment, one that they will remember. I should not hate anything, but I really enjoy my deep seeded hate for BYU football, this hate is a healthy hate.

I encourage you to write Compher an email and request that he at least looks into the possibility of scheduling a 1:1 or 2:2 with BYU and cite their issues getting games late in the season.
