Wow that is strange, unless EMU told her they were going to fire her. She has had some real nice success at EMU. Self reported violations from 2010, I guess maybe they expect something to be coming down???

It is hard to believe they would cheat at EMU. Nobody cares about their women's bball program. They were MAC Champs and went to the NCAA and they still only draw 400-500 for a home game.

No wonder they were so grumpy in the games.

now we know exactly why she resigned
that rule breaking is the kind of thing that could really give them an advantage

Seems pretty bad after reading that. Coaches telling players to lie to compliance officials. Being ignorant of rules. Looks like the coach/EMU could be in some trouble.

Wouldn't mind seeing Olivia Fouty (8.6ppg.8rpg) transfer to UT to get out of the EMU mess. Never understood why we don't recruit the Sylvania schools. Two seniors I would like to have are going to Kent and Western.

I have a hunch we recruit the sylvania area. I don't think Fouty would fit into the UT offense very well. That is not a knock on Fouty, I just don't think she fits the system in place.

Lisa Johnson was from Sylvania Northview. Coach Cullop did recruit Olivia Fouty early on but backed off for some reason.

Ehlen recruited Johnson. Why is a Kent program that is in shambles signing 6-0 Miriam Justinger from Northview, who was the district POY, first team all-state, averaged 20ppg and is a dynamic playmaker. Or, could we use a 6-3 center like Jessica Jessing (going to WMU), also from Northview, 14ppg, 9rpg?

It's my understanding that the Sylvania HS (aka northview) coach is the problem when it comes to Toledo recruiting there.

I really can't explain the above posts. Could be the two players did not want to stay in Toledo to attend school. I know I did not want to go to college anywhere near home. It may be as simple as that. Who knows.........

Anyone know anything about her? Used to work with a guy who might be her dad. Played TE for Wayne State back in the 80s, would be about the right age.

Maybe, just some more local athletes that have that, "got to leave Toledo syndrome to play college sports.".......
