MyBB MBB: UMASS to play @ NIU for 2012-2013 season

2012-13 SCHEDULING - The men's basketball team still has some games to schedule for next season, but a fair number of opponents are set. The groundwork for a lot of scheduling is annually done at the Final Four when representatives for almost all Division I teams are in the same place.

...

The Bobcats and Eastern Michigan will travel to Mullins and the Minutemen will play at Miami-Ohio and Northern Illinois as part of the new annual four-game Mid-American Conference schedule commitment that comes with joining the league in football.

I like the "4 game bball commitment", may help ease them in for all sports.

Miami-Ohio

Dear Gazettenet and UMass fans: You are MAC now, so lets act like it.

Miami University was founded more than 120 years before Miami of Florida. In fact, Miami University was a university when Florida still belonged to Spain. As such, there is no need to hypenate Miami-Ohio. They are the real Miami. That other school is Miami-Florida, and should be treated like the newcomer they are, and always will be, when referencing institutes of higher learning with "Miami" in their name.
