Softball Polls
Both Softball polls are out for this week. Cajuns remain 8th in both polls and Troy gets rewarded for knocking off Auburn and the Cajuns by picking up votes in both polls.

RE: Softball Polls
I think it's BS to not get a spot after being 20-9 and going 2-2 in four straight ranked games vs the 21st and 8th ranked team.

RE: Softball Polls
Try beating #5 by a score of 9-2 and still be ranked behind them.

That I can understand. I have not looked at softball top 25 polls many times but I'm pretty sure it's going to be a team from the Pac-12, ACC, or SEC. They probably have a stronger RPI then you would get playing the teams around Louisiana.

RE: Softball Polls
It does suck that Troy isn't in after the week they had... but they just need to keep proving they are worthy. Winning this upcoming midweek game against a strong, high-RPI South Alabama team will only make Troy's case better.

Just keep winning. Only three teams are ranked with nine losses - Texas A&M, Michigan and Auburn, so that's why Troy isn't in - yet. Troy is on the bubble and now facing conference. If the Trojans make a really good run in the sixth-ranked conference and get helped by losses in the higher ranks, they'll be in soon enough.

RE: Softball Polls
Question for Cajun fans, since you guys probably know a good bit about the NCAA Softball Tournament...

Is there any type of payout for softball teams like there is basketball?
