Cool, you guys are the smartest kids with down syndrome. Congrats on that.
Georgetown's a pretty powerful football program too. I mean, name me just ONE program in the entire village of Georgetown that is better than the Hoyas. You can't do it. There's just nobody better. Y'know?

How convenient of you to leave out the rest of the statement..."which still ranks in Top 20 of all-time D-1A wins, has won an NC, and has more College Football HOFs than all but a handful of schools?"
Btw, you do know that Army resides in New York state as well, right?
Cheers,
Neil

Sorry, I guess I was too overcome with laughter at the first statement to wade through all the caveats.

Like, three national champions, three Heisman winners, and 37 All-Americans? Ok, so it isn't Columbia...

I actually SYR will be better post Boeheim.
The 2-3 zone isn't exactly a terror. It's more like a novelty. Like Louisville, SYR BB has a large following and should continue to draw talent. Maybe even more talent once the 2-3 is gone.
SOme things will go on forever. (Like the Gtown-SYR mutual hate.)

SJU, sure. Georgetown? Don't count on it.
Anyone surprised how no one is campaigning for a series with West Virginia? No.
Don't count on that. The alumni of SJU are not happy about the 'Cuses marketing campaign in NYC claiming they are in fact New York's team. This was pointed out to Lavin when he first came to SJU and he stated that he would take back the city. You don't do that by inviting that team into the city every other year.
Take back the city. NY's team. This is the stuff that rivalries are made of. That SYr is a few hours drive from St. Johns- that makes it perfect.
DOn't matter what side New Yorkers take all that matters is that they are talking about it, they're upset about it and the whole city is watching the game.
I'd play St. jOhns every year like Duke does. Only I'd call it the " Battle for New York."

Cuz WVU doesn't juice your fanbase like Cuse
I can see why. It's been a few years since Georgetown has beaten the Mountaineers...
BTW, during the 2010 BET WVU was NYC's team. Every starter was a native to the greater NYC area...

Who says we're playing them every year? We already have a yearly ACC team on the schedule in Duke.
Whats the upside for us playing them? I mean I know what THEY get out of it, but what do we get?
Syracuse can rent MSG anytime they want. They get nothing out of playing St. Johns and hopefully we concentrate on keeping a series going with Georgetown and Uconn instead.

I'm sure you will not miss the annual smackdown.
And since this has now been moved to the Smack Board, I never understood why some SU fans want to play a washed up program that hasn't been relevant in over a decade? And prior to that, only had relevancy in about 3 out of 10 years in the 1990s.
Georgetown and UConn are our rivals not St. John's. Heck Nova is more a rival than the Johnnies.
Cheers,
Neil
