I thought that yesterday, but I did a free online copyright search yesterday. I have no idea if that website (trademarkia) is reliable or not, but they only show Big 16 for baked goods. They do show "Big 14" as owned by the Big 12 Conference.

If they in fact own the trademark BIG16, then we can call ourselves the BIG 4x4

My turn! Here is a national league based on the 9 team ideal where everyone plays everyone equally home and away. Geography isn't always super compact, but at least makes sense. 8 conference games also leaves plenty of OOC games to play other regional rivals since there are no FCS teams in this league to fill the OOC schedule with.
