...while you are at the spring game...if they don't like Huskie football.

Not sure if this was done intentionally or not.

Hopefully this will bring a few more people over to check our the CPC and/or teams on the 21st.

When are they going to send out the solicitations for the CPC tiles, pavers, etc.?

From what I understand they are going to start the "little people" campaign at the CPC ground breaking/spring game then go into a full public campaign immediately.

What the public campaign actually involves I have no clue...maybe an e-mails then a form with the SF tickets in May/June then another flyer with the season tickets in August?

I am going to guess that there will be 2-3 different levels 250, 500 & 1000 for 2 different size bricks a large paver...but that is just a guess.

Thanks for the info, HJ!

I have been designated by Athletics as one of the "very little people". I think it started after Compher once stood next to me at the urinals in the Convo Center.

Does this mean that actual construction on the CPC won't start until the remaining funds, $1.2 million or whatever, have been raised?

That is what I was told over a year ago.

They need 100% of the money pledged before real work begins. This is because of what happened with the Yordon center and the lingering debt that has since been rolled into long term very low interest bonds.

To me that does not necessaraly mean that some prep work can not be done first if they are very close dollars wise.

All the more important reason for them to update their website funding so far or dollars still needed.

LOL Ya I actually didn't know how to word it so just went for the sexist assumption. My wife will be at the spring game and would not even consider going over to the convo sale thing. I keep he up to date on all the happenings so I have gotten her into it. She gives me updates on when she sees people wearing NIU/Huskie stuff at Target.

Side side story. We were driving down President Street last weekend and just to the North of the railroad tracks (north of 38) there was a house with a large Huskie flag...it made my day.

Come to find out, she was dabbling on that side before her and I dated, wish I would've known that, I could've put something awesome together.

Don't let that mess with your mind. REAL women LOVE football. If you're dating someone who doesn't love football you are nuts. In fact, in the first meeting conversation the question of football should be brought up. Such as.."so hey, are you a football fan?" If she says no...move on immediately.

Bleeds spun another one. He probably has a story about how he was going for a three-way, but that fails to take into account that the lunch ladies in Lincoln Hall have a better chance at being #3 than him.
