"Unofficial" EMU Twitter site
I KNOW that the football and basketball programs have their own twitter sites but as is often the case, the 'market' determines or picks it own sites based on whatever criterion or reason... Probably something simple like '#EasternMichigan".

As I have been able to ascertain, the recruiting gurus, recruits, etc. seem to have chosen this Twitter site to Tweet their offerings...

Recruiting gurus may use #EasternMichigan, but marketing is trying very hard to push #EMUHoops and #EMUFB as the tags for hoops and football.

You will see students frequently use #EMU and #TeamEMU for campus related things.
You will also find alot of info when searching for #TRUEMU

With LOI day only a few weeks away, why is B ball recruiting at EMU so quiet? Have to believe that coach murphy and staff are in on a few kids!

I worked in D.C. most of my career, and I can tell you (plural) that Murphy and staff can keep better secrets than official Washington (which can't keep a secret - the bin Laden capture was an exception).

What I think is MOST perplexing, even to Dennis, is that the unofficial visitors who show up for those Saturday home games are h.s. JUNIORs which means there is NO correlation to seeing a h.s. visit in February and who signs in April (those would be h.s. seniors, JUCOs, transfers, etc.).

Kids may be taking official visits yet no one outside the Convo has a clue as to who they may be.

BOTTOM LINE: We do NOT know (or if someone knows, pls. tell us) if Murphy wants to sign 2 or 1 or no one this April.

My "Countdown" thread was an effort to 'frame' recruiting in terms of what Murphy might want to do this April, next year, etc.

E.g., if he pursues Mike Talley then he does not pursue Felder (Pershing) or Wes Clark (Romulus).

Those are the kind of decisions he is having to make.
