RE: Learfield Director's Cup Standings
What does the Director's Cup standings have to do with conference expansion/realignment?

RE: Learfield Director's Cup Standings
You realize 69th is low compared to most conferences. To compare: 69th would get you 13th in the ACC, 12th in the SEC, 10th in the PAC, 13th in the B1G, and 9th in the B12. It is good enough for 8th in the new Big East.

And? Those top 6 conferences have way more sports as well. You can be a dick like Miko and start raining down the smartass comments if that is what you wanna do. But this was just to show that the one trick pony cries I hear are way over done and simply not true.

As far as the BE goes, Boise St. is a one trick pony, ie FB only.05-stirthepot

here's the full release with all schools getting points in various winter sports.....

a lot of schools don't have rifle, women's ice hockey, and skiing.

Boise got points in women's swimming/diving, women's track/field, and men's wrestling.

You called yourself a one trick pony then tried to point to a low Director's Cup standing as some kind of proof you aren't.

What trick is ECU's? Wasting fax paper with applications?

I guess the added revenue from playing football in the BE could be used for new sports. Sounds like a great way to boost ya spot.

Edit: Just noticed Pitt's ranking isn't that high. Looks like we have some work to do as well to improve on these standings.

The Big Ten always looks really good after winter sports, but spring goes poorly usually. I'm guessing every Big Ten school drops a few spots except Northwestern (wlax, ten) and Michigan (softball).

If must ask, spring sports, we were one of only 14 school to put all their spring sports in to post season play and the ONLY non-AQ team to do that.03-idea

Wisconsin will probably drop a few spots, but the Badgers will get points from women's rowing (likely a top 10 finish) and men & women's T&F. Badgers also typically pick up points in men's tennis but didn't last year.

Actually, I had difficulty trying to figure out what in the hell you were trying to say in your penultimate post in the thread. Your last post was easier to interpret, just poorly written. I guess that is an improvement? 03-thumbsup

BTW, my school HAS accomplished much in the things that matter most to a university. In that sense, I can't complain.
