Don't get me wrong I am excited about the 2012 season but I like to look ahead too!

This is based off of AD Comphers documented desire to host all OOC game in the first 4 or 5 weeks of the season, this site http://www.fbschedules.com/ reguarding NIU, Idaho & Oregon schedule where the dates are TBA...

09/06/2014 vs Idaho

Both dates are the Saturday after Labor Day Weekend.

For 2013 there are 15 playing weeks which means that we will have 2 bye weeks that year. I would expect that we try and schedule it so that we take a bye week before Purdue as we play them in week 5.

The 2014 opening date is still could be different (unlikely) depending on the announcment of the other 2 opponents for that year. My guess is that one will likely be on Labor Day Weekend @ an AQ opponent and the other will likely be hosting an FCS opponent on 9/20 the week after we are @ WF...as I can't see us hosting a FCS team then Idaho the very next weekend then playing WF then an other AQ team.

My hope for 2014 is that we open @ ND...

give us another crack at Badgers - anywhere.

I see we are slated to go to Wakre Forest in 2014...whay can't we get them back to HS for a game? The Vandals of Moscow, Idaho at HS is not an attention grabbe...

They are only good as an opening day game. Otherwise we might as well schedule Cal Poly in week 4 again...

The Wake Forest game in 2014 is the 3rd game in the series with them. We signed a 2 to 1 deal with them. We played at WF in 2001, they came to DeKalb in 2002. I believe this 3rd game has been delayed a couple of times.

Correct. I've heard that as well.

I just get depressed talking about OOC schedules, we are so abyssmal in this department, so abyssmal.

With Memphis now in the Big East, I wish Compher would have locked that up before hand. Maybe he did and it just hasn't been announced?

I don't think we got it. Memphis got a series with Kansas and Ole Miss. Soonest they have an away opening is 2017 or 2018.

If nothing is announced at the spring game then I don't think we are hosting an AQ team in 2014...which I don't think we will.

The best case IMO is that we play @ND in week 1 of 2014.

Actually it looks like they have all 12 opponents scheduled for 2014. They now have a scheduled a game with Rice in December since I last looked.
