I was able to do that last year but the picture was so bad that I just went back to watching it on the laptop. OK for one but, when you have others who want to watch it too, it is a bit of a pain. If this gadget doesn't work we will look for a bar or have two laptops going. Anyone know if a local bar is going to carry it?

If you're in the Kzoo area, I would bet Wayside or Roadhouse carries the Hockey game.

I tried getting a converter where I could watch my laptop on the TV, but I ended up screwing up my laptop (I'm no Einstein). So I returned the $40 device and purchased an Extended Sports package that includes Fox Sports North for $9.

Is that on Uverse?

I have Dish Network.

A quick search shows that AT&T U-Verse has FSN North and FSN North Plus.

FSN North - 744 (SD)/1744 (HD)
FSN North + - 745 (SD)/1745 (HD)

Don't know what you need to get those channels, but good luck!

Just discovered that for an extra $7/month I can get the U-Verse HD Premium Tier which includes FSN North HD. Thanks!

That was the fall back plan.

Suggestions from Seminole Nation:

1. Go to http://espn.go.com/espn3/index
2. Click on Watch Now.
3. Select ATT from the ISP drop down menu. Click Continue.
4. On the ATT login screen, select Sign Up Now.
5. Follow instructions to create a NEW, FREE account.
6. Go to http://espn.go.com/espn3/index
7. Click on Watch Now.
8. Select ATT from the ISP drop down menu. Click Continue.
9. On the ATT login screen, and login to ATT with the account you just created.
10. You now have access to ESPN3 video.

RE: Saturday's game will be televised locally
Sadly, the loophole allowing ESPN3 to work with a free AT&T email account has been closed. I used to be able to use ESPN3 because of that very loophole. I may just be screwed.

Montana Bronco, if you have a friend with an ISP that has ESPN3 have them create you a Watch ESPN account and sync the account with that ISP. I've done it for people before, I would do it for you but at WMU it's all considered a "public" connection so they won't let you do it. If I was at home I could.

Don't bother with the Roku. It does not get CW7. I was led astray. Interesting gadget but not for this use.

Later note. There might be a way to program it so that the Roku can get CW7 but I don't have the time right now to try to figure out how to do it.

Thank goodness for FoxNorth picking it up. I've had the regional sportspack on Dish for a while. Love being able on any weekend during hockey season to watch several college hockey games.

I've had it sporadically... but just checked, it's up to $9/mo these days now! 04-jawdrop

One other option for those who have ESPN3 access and don't have a PC to hook up to their HDTV - you can buy an Xbox 360 and it'll connect and show ESPN3 in 720p.

I'm considering going this route tonight...

If you have U-Verse, it is on 649. They kept changing it. I purchased a special package so I could get FSN North because they were supposedly showing the game then this afternoon they changed it to FCSP. 03-banghead

Oh well, at least we get it.
