AT ST. JOE’S, RAMS ADVANCE TO THIRD ROUND OF WNIT
FOR SECOND TIME IN THREE YEARS

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Virginia Commonwealth University women's basketball team used a 6-0 run capped off by an Andrea Barbour layup with 0.7 seconds left in overtime to beat St. Joseph's 67-65 Sunday afternoon in the second round of the Postseason Women's National Invitation Tournament.

With the victory, VCU advances to the third round of the WNIT for the second time in three seasons. The Rams improve to 19-14, while St. Joe's finishes the year 22-11.

VCU was led by Barbour, who finished with a season-high 26 points to go along with eight rebounds, and senior classmate Courtney Hurt, who posted her 22nd double-double with 19 points and a game-high 19 boards. Sophomore Robyn Parks chipped in eight points off the bench for the Black & Gold.

Hope the result is different when you guys come to Savage Arena tomorrow! Our ladies have been on fire the last 2 wnit games, and have an 8 game wnit win streak 03-wink Best of luck!
