For the size of our crowd today, our crowd was not a factor. The TX crowd was much louder. IMO, we were pitiful.

However the fans for SBU were great. That was really impressive. They started chanting as soon as our game was over. I think all 2,000 students were in the stands today.

Where were our students?
Did they even show up?

It was finals week with a game at noon, hoping for better on Sunday.

I heard Down the Drive loud and clear several times. Hard to cheer heartily when you're up by 19, or blowing such lead.

Finals and spring break. They are not used to going to tourney games during spring break.

yeah there were a ton of uc fans down there. the bars were littered with red and black pregame. and i, too, thought the crowd could have been louder and a little more rowdy...

There was a lot of UC fans there, I noticed several of the vendors in the arena near the UC section sold out of Cincinnati t-shirts.
Noticeable lack of students. SBU fans were much rowdier, largely because most were students. Pretty weak showing IMO, considering that we're going into a week off for spring break. Guess they're too busy going off to the beach, getting drunk, laid, etc...

There were a good number of UC fans in attendance Friday but I thought it was a predominantly older crowd. Lots of blue hair/red sweaters so not a rowdy group at all. Hopefully there are more students/younger alums in attendance on Sunday. The teams needs to hear the UC fan contingent cheering for them.

The Saint Bonnies fans were awesome. You could tell the Saint Bonnies players were feeding off of their fans that were there. You could also tell that it meant a lot to their fans and students to get to the tournament. Really wish they'd have won.

I didn't think there were a lot of FSU fans considering the size of the school. Got to get out and get a lead on FSU if UC can. Otherwise we're going to hear that stupid tomahawk chant all night long. They didn't do it much in the first half of their game yesterday since they were losing.

Hated the Bonnies fans. They were really obnoxious. I found out that the school paid for transport and hotel for any students that bought tickets.

That explains a lot. BTW, some of the SBU cheerleaders were an abomination. Morbidly obese. With those brown uniforms they looked more like someone in a sausage outfit than a cheerleader.
On the other hand, FSU bringing their dance team was a strong move, followed by Texas with dance team members in chaps. Giddy up.

we figured that the big girl cheerleaders for Saint Bonnie's must have daddy's who are big donors.
or they needed a really solid base for their pyramids.
or that cheerleading is a "no-Cut" sport.

They've only got 2000 people to choose from so probably just 1000 girls.

Lehigh, Iona, Bonnies, awful representations of what a cheerleader should look like. If you can't field a competitive squad then don't send out those herefords out there.

I hope Bridgestone fixes the condensation problem on the court. It was a big problem yesterday and a bad slip by a player could be season ending.

I didn't think it was condensation. It seemed like it was always after a timeout, after the teams broke the huddle.

I think Jeff is right, I believe the kids with the mops had no idea what the hell they we're doing. I guess there is ice under the court though too.
