Of the year.

What's the difference between du l'annee and de l'annee?

"Du" is a combination, de le.
"De" simply means of.
"De les" or "de la" the feminine, means of the.
So, "Du", is just a shorter way of saying "de le".
That's my understanding anyway. Though, I am not particularly great with the romanic languages.

À votre bon cœur

Bien sûr

RE: UC-FSU pregame
I can't get the video uploaded for some reason...but I was watching the post game comments from espn and Gottlieb said UC "is a good team, but has limitations..." one of which is "no true point guard". Huh?

I agree we have some limitations but I don't see "no true point guard" as one of them????

Doug, come on man, i know the B12 is stinking up the joint but please....

Maybe familiarity of the floor will help. The shot horribly at MSG yet beat GT. Ditto Texas. The next game they shot lights out vs Cuse. If they can match performances they win.
I know...grasping at straws here. But who knows?

i think Mick would love to press but we don't have the horses to do it all game. it's the reason he went zone against TX because he didn't want Yancy to have to defend ball screen action all day. He's constantly talking about having to get Yancy and Cash more rest in post game interviews. i don't see how he can do both that and play the press.

We pressed all year...why aren't we able to press now due to depth?

RE: UC-FSU pregame
I think the depth issue surrounds our three bench players — Gynn, Davis and Sanders. Because they are so green they come in shoot the ball when they shouldn't and get lost on defense. There is no room for that kind of error in the NCAA tournament.

Winning today will depend on the starters have the legs to go the distance. There is too much drop off going to the UC bench beyond JJ and maybe Cheik to spell Yancy.

You really don't want to play the who said what game. Run along.

we haven't pressed all year. of late, the 2-3 zone has been the defense we played the most. And its precisely because we are trying to conserve yancy/cash for the stretch run.

Thing that scares me most about FSU....they look like a Big East team vs ACC team. Would rather play about any other ACC team as result.

The opportunity to play the Suckeyes has got to be a big incentive for this team. I know I was rooting (albeit mildly) for them to get by Gonzaga.

Florida State is a lot like Cincinnati in that they play up and down based on competition. A FSU fan friend of mine said he wasn't concerned about the Noles effort because "Cincinnati is a big enough opponent". That sounds very familiar to me.

I will NEVER root even mildly for Ohio State. If they play Xavier I will root for a roof collapse at the tournament site.

Not gonna be able to make down there today after all because of work. Just gonna try to watch the Walking Dead marathon and go to my inner happy place until we play the Semen-holes later tonight.

Amen. Today is killing me. Ive been out and about all day and keep getting butterflies every time I think about this game. Wish like hell it was a 7 pm tip.

I don't like this match up very much. This is a really hard one to predict. Hoping we come out and hit shots and are able to deal with their size. But its two very unpredictable teams. Glad I don't work in Vegas predicting this one.

After the way Texas shredded our zone in the second half I have a bad feeling this one won't be close. FSU has too much size and second chance points off of rebounds will be the killer.

RE: UC-FSU pregame
In spite of their size, their rebounding is identical to ours.
They're hot and cold, offensively, just as we are.
I think it will come down to our ability to turn them over and our guards being able to take their man off the dribble. Since they play exclusively man to man, if you penetrate and make them help, you can burn them. It would be of great benefit to us, if we came out on fire from 3.
It's a winnable game, not an easy one though.
