Troy Watch Party
Anyone who lives up North, I will be with a group at the Troy Frickers.
Every year for the past 5-6 years my friends and I have taken off a half day of work on the first Friday of the tourney to meet at the Troy Frickers to drink beer, eat tons of deep fried food, act stupid, and even watch parts of some of the games.
With the Cats playing at noon on Friday I will have to put off the jack-assery for a few hours and focus on the game.
Many of us will stay from noon all the way in to the night, depending on how well we pace ourselves.
If you are in the area, stop in and say hi. If you do, make sure that you tell me who you are.
I'm Casey Garman (backwards = namrag).

Hey Namrag!
Like yourself we were at The Filling Station for the 'Cuse game....I was with the rather vociferous foursome on the south side of the bar. We like that place for the beer selection, beer prices and TV's seem to be more strategically placed than many places, Nevertheless, will consider showing up at Frickers for Friday's game. Are your buddies 'Cats fans too?

Frickers it is. I'll look for the UC group when I get there around noon or so. I'm Chaz Strubbe by the way.

RE: Troy Watch Party
batman, was someone in your group wearing a black UC ballcap with a blacked out UC outlined in silver/white?

I was at a table right when you first walk in. I had my 17yr old son and two 9yr old daughters with me, so I gave them money for game tokens so that they would leave me alone.

Within my group will be a former UC baseball player (Piehole from bearcatnews before he got banned), a former UC golfer, and another UC grad or two, as well as an assorted motley crue of characters.

In the past years at Frickers we tend to take over the area to the right side when you first walk in.

The hat you described was worn by one of the two guys sitting at the bar with me and my wife. I had never met either of them before but I could tell from their garb that they were good guys!

RE: Troy Watch Party
I did make it - got there around 11:45 and didn't see any UC folks so I sat up front at the bar. Pretty sure I saw your group there later but wasn't about to be the creepy "Hey I know you from the internet" guy.
