Maher trounces Limbaugh comparison.
At the same time defends Rush.

Bet you never thought Maher would defend Rush at the same time as swatting down the rights lame attempt to paint them both with the same fell swoop. 03-phew

Quote:I'm a comedian - not just a guy who says he is, like Rush, but someone who - well, you saw me do stand-up last year in D.C. There's a big difference between just saying you're a comedian and going out and getting thousands of people to laugh hard for 90 minutes. And the one I'm compared to most is Carlin, who also had these kind of problems. Edgy is my brand - everyone wants that, but they say, "but never go over the line." It's like telling Tom Brady, 'Throw into coverage 40 times a game every game but never throw an interception.'"

Maher better start worrying about himself. Limbaugh could buy and sell him a 1000 times over. Apparently the administration is feeling the heat of the "double standard." David Axelrod was scheduled to appear on Mahr's HBO zero audience show, and he cancelled. http://hotair.com/archives/2012/03/14/axelrod-backs-out-of-maher-appearance/

Seems that many are figuring out that Maher is a piece of chit. You can't go round calling vice presidential candidates cu^ts, or two Republican women running for office a pair of bo@bs. Ol Bill's finding out that you can't wish death on a vice president, you can't talk about a vice presidential candidates retarded baby in crude terms, and you can't call women Republican women b^tches and claim you're a supporter of women. Well you can, but you can't do it while claiming to champion women's rights, and that's the double standard that helped drop the president almost 9 points in the polls this week, and saw his approval among women drop.

http://americanpowerblog.blogspot.com/20...ar-on.html
Funny man Bill Maher.....enjoy the jokes Bill's told
Quote:“Sarah Palin agreed to do commentary at Fox News, which is actually very similar to her day job, talking to a baby with Down’s syndrome."

In referring to Palin and Michele Bachmann, Bill Maher, began by saying, "And speaking of dumb tw@ts."

"I hope Palin gets in so that they split the MILF vote."

"Sarah Palin, the strange family of inbred wierdos."

In talking about Palin's daughter, "She f()cked Levi over and over until a baby came out."

President Obama: All decent folks can agree, that the remarks that were made don't have any place in the public discourse.
Really, really Mr. President??? Then why did you just take a million bucks from a guy who makes fun of candidates retarded children and calls them c*nts????

Dave Letterman talking about Palin's daughter getting banged by A-Rod when Palin and her daughter attended a Yankees game. Problem is, the daughter she had with her was 12. This week the first lady will appear on Letterman (what, huh, no moral outrage from the administration???)

Or how about MSNBC (unlike Limbaugh and Maher, and actual news organization) Ed Schultz calling Laura Ingraham a talk slut. Nice stuff.

Oh come on Dip, Maher's a comedian....03-melodramatic Yes, a comedian who has never apologized for a single one of his remarks. And Limbaugh, what's he? A radio talk show host. Listening to guys like DB you'd think he's running the country. Nope, he's an entertainer just like Maher, but the left turns a blind eye to one, and craps their collective pants over the other, because unlike Maher, he has real influence.

I figured you would react like a little baby citing ratings, money and MORE POLLS

You're so predictable. 03-lmfao 03-nutkick

I guess you forgot to acknowledge this statement from him.

Quote:Of course if you take out of context over 10 years snippets inside comedy bits you can make anyone look bad - and sometimes, I have been! Not perfect, but not misogyny. In general, this is an obvious right wing attempt to dredge up some old **** about me to deflect from their self-inflicted problems. They are the kings of false equivalencies.

And through it all, I have defended Rush's right to stay on the air! Not what he said, that was disgusting - but the right to not disappear because people who don't even listen to you don't like what you said. That really bothers me. I never hear Rush Limbaugh unless a guy in the next truck at a stop light has it on; it would be arrogant for me to say "he has to disappear" and deprive the people who do listen to him of what they like. We all have different tastes and different opinions, that's America.

I can't stand either one of those arrogant SOB's. Maher claiming the mantle of Carlin is simply insulting. Rush is Rush...equally insulting.

Ditto. I am not a Maher fan, quit being one years ago when he started thinking he was the best thing since ice cream.

You're just frosted because he trashed your flunky hero Palin. Hell, I've read posts where you say worse to fellow posters on this board.

I could care less about Palin. I just loved seeing the hypocrisy being exposed.

Just watched a replay of David Axelrod on CNN. The CNN host asks him about Maher calling Palin a c*nt? The squirming was quite hilarious. When she asked him about giving back the million that Maher gave to his super pac, he squirmed some more, acted as if he had no control over it (she also called him on that), and luckily they ran out of time.

Funny how this is all backfiring............. 03-phew

Wow, it's really backfiring! 03-melodramatic

Your interpretation of Axelrod presumably having a hard time making the equation between a COMEDIAN and a POLITICAL PUNDIT is quite funny.

Either way, it just doesn't matter, Rush stepped on his thing as badly as you did in your gbl debate about race, which was quite epic BTW.

41% approval rating this morning in the NY Times CBS poll as well as the Washington Post poll. These are news organizations that are normally shills for him. No incumbent with an approval rating of less than 50% has ever been reelected.

Do you really think women are sitting around going, "Oh, there's a war on women," the President says so....................Or do you think they're going $80 to fill up my tank!!!!!! It's a war on me.

Women aren't buying this phony narrative. They all know they can get birth control anytime they want it, and most of them already have insurance covering it.

Or are the mumbling to themselves.............
8.3% unemployment is the new 4.6%????

1.4 trillion in debt is the new 300 billion

$80 to fill up your tank, and the best the President can say, is I have no control over this.

$4 for a half gallon of ice cream for the kids............Oh wait, that $4 for 1.75 quarts.

$250 bucks for groceries that three years ago cost me $150?

Trying pretty hard there Dip!! 03-hissyfit

So far I hear spin and you blaming the president for gas prices, that would be the same office that you said had NO BEARING on gas prices on 2008.

Hypocrite.

Here, I'll quote this for you AGAIN.

Quote: A new Pew poll, released Wednesday morning, found approval of Obama at 50 percent and disapproval at 41 percent. That's slightly better than Pew's February poll, when the firm found his approval rating at 47 percent and his disapproval rating at 43 percent.

BTW, that fact that your dumba$$ responds and tries so hard to spin me is validation enough that I get under your skin and forgot more about this than you.

Keep trying, it's like watching fat cheeseburger eaters on treadmills to me. 03-phew

Oops, there ya go again. Flying off the handle. My poll's better than yours Dip!!!! 03-hissyfit03-hissyfit

Problem is all the major news organizations were reporting the NY Times CBS and the Washington Post polls. 41% approval rating. Afghanistan falling apart, gas prices out of this world, perpetual 8.3% unemployment (and even that number is phony). Yep, good times in America. 03-drunk
