Two big OHIO achievements that were previously thought to be impossible for us...
One: We have already sold out our allotment of tickets for the game vs. Michigan on Friday. COOL!
Two: Ohio is one of only two schools in the country in 2011-12 who won at least 10 football games, won a bowl game, and won the conference men's basketball tournament. Who is the other school? check out the link and find out!

For those of us who remember the dark days of Ohio football and the sometimes drab days of Ohio basketball, this feat is nothing short of amazing!
Sorry about tooting my own horn (or my team's horn, i should say), but i thought these things, especially number two, are noteworthy. thanks for your indulgence!

Perhaps you should upgrade conferences?
(Congrats. If not for NIU in the MAC champs, you'd truly have the year for the ages.)

Well I'll have you know that NIU is currently riding the nation's longest FBS win streak, so suck it.
(congrats though fellow MAC program, ...then suck it.)

This isn't the men's room at Camp Randall Stadium, but I like your enthusiasm.

I really think accomplishment #1 should be expected for a game in reasonable driving distance as they really don't give you all that many tickets and OU has a very good following. #2 on the other hand is a really outstanding accomplishment. Here's hoping OU knocks out Michigan basketball while one of the MAC schools in the CCHA knocks off Michigan hockey at the CCHA tournament this weekend.

=>Q. Best Miami year?
A. 1998-99
Football: Went 10-1/7-1 in football and ended up MAC East Co-Champs (Marshall won head-2-head tiebreaker and ended up winning MACC). Did not get an bowl invite as MAC had only 1 bowl tie-in. Miami beat rivals Ohio (35-21) and UC (41-0 at UC!). Miami started the year off by beating #12 (I think) N. Carolina on the road and ended up 3-0 OOC (other win was @ Army).
Hoops: Miami went 24-8/15-3 vs. an RPI SOS of 64th most difficult in the nation. Miami was regular season overall MAC champs, was MAC tourney runner-ups, and went on to the NCAA Sweet 16 which ended up with Wally Sczerbiak on the cover of Sport Illustrated (his 2nd cover of the year, see below). Miami beat rival Ohio in only matchup as well at winning @ Notre Dame and beating #7 Tennessee and Dayton at home.
Midway through the school year as football was winding down and hoops was about to start, one issue of Sporting News had Wally Szcerbiak on the cover and 3 separate articles about Miami: 1) Feature on RB Travis Prentice, 2) Feature on Wally Sczerbiak, and 3) a preview of Miami hoops team as Miami was the mag's preseason #24 team in the country.
Overall record between the two sports was 34-9/22-4. Not a bad year for Miami athletics!
