RE: OT: CMU fires Zeigler
I'm going contrarian and disagree with EVERYONE (including CMU boards) and eliminate Steve Schmidt.

One noted follower of MI hoops mentioned to me that MI JUCO ball is so bad, undisciplined, etc. that it is virtually 'unwatchable.'

I'm not sure CMU needs to get suckered into the R trap (r*cruiting) again. Coach Z was a classic example of a coach who supposedly could r*cruit but not coach.

I have NO idea who CMU will pick.

Here is an article about Trey's release.

The Recruit Scoop tweeted that Zeigler will choose from MSU, Duke, UCLA and Detroit Mercy.

Okay then why are we signing MI JUCOs then?

Are you referring to Still?

To the best of my knowledge we are not recruiting any other MI JUCOs including Mott CC.

Still is cooling his jets at HFCC trying to become eligible for EMU just like Kater spent a year at GRCC playing QB waiting to be eligible to transfer to CMU.

Still is not a JUCO player per se, i.e., a kid who signed with a JUCO and spent two years there.

Hell, if he wanted he could have redshirted at HFCC and not played his sitout year.

Don't forget Harper.

I'm not being critical but wanting to know if the overall quality of MI JUCO ball is so poor why are we looking there for players?

I initially forgot about Harper.

The jury is out on Harper.

Doug Anderson turned out pretty good at U-D.

even if MI JUCO ball is horrible (i have no idea) there can still be a couple good players. The Pistons are a dumpster fire, but every team in the league would take Monroe in a heartbeat.

Mott C.C. is the exception.

I have no problems taking players from Mott.

I thought the verdict was in, myself.
