I prefer the Big 12 to make a deal with ESPN and forgo going to the open market. The Pac 12 proved you can get way more on the open market than from ESPN no matter how generous it seems ESPN is being. Without going to the open market, I don't think the Big 12 will get enough money to be able to entice any ACC teams to leave and the ACC's re-negotiation with ESPN is on deck too. So, I don't think the ACC will end up that far behind the Pac 12, SEC and Big 12 when all is said and done. The Big 10 may be way out in front after their first tier are re-upped in 2015-2016 but that's because of the Big 10 network and we can't do any thing about that unless we can convince ESPN to invest in an ACC network.
