"Strip away the label and the Irish are Northern Illinois -- which is an insult to Northern Illinois. In the last decade, the Huskies are better than the Irish by seven wins. "

That IS an insult. We are not Notre Dame. Never have been and never will be. We do things the right way.

I fixed my first post. I was too excited to click the espn link first.

All the better though that this quote is being read on the 2 top College Football sports websites!

A perfect example is how ND handled WR Michael Floyd's repeated drunken driving offenses.

If he'd been the third-string TE, there's no way it would have been the same. (Then again he'd still be a ND FB player so who knows.)

There are a million comments on that thing, the whole planet heard CBS call Notre Dame a watered down NIU!

Bite me ND fans and crooked BCS lovers!

Have you ever been to West Bend anyway? It makes Rockford look like Santa Barbara, CA...

And then wasn't there allegations of rape by some members of the FB team that seemed to get swept under the carpet?

No thanks. We just use our 2 endzone HD cameras so we don't have to kill students for our football team.

I was extremely disappointed in ND for the way they handled that whole situation. They should have held Kelly responsible and possibly charged him with negligence. They also didn't seem to remember the poor kid during the season and seemed to just sweep the incident under a rug. I thought the whole situation was classless. I know it's different but when Shea died Novak and our program seemed to do all the right things. To me, ND didn't do anything right in that case.

I agree. You've made some really good points here. SOMEBODY should have been held responsible for that kid dying. What's interesting is that nobody was...yet Jamal Bass is facing felony charge for something no where near what happened at ND. It's just wrong.
