Ohio NCAA draw?
I see Ohio getting a 14 seed and drawing Michigan. Last time Ohio played Michigan was in 1964 in the elite 8.

15 seed. Their OOC strength of schedule doesn't do them any favors.

RE: Ohio NCAA draw?
Our Rpi is in 50's. With all the upsets in the midmajor tourneys we should be no worse than 14 and perhaps 13 seed. Ohio SOS only hurt us in the selection process vs other bubble teams from power conferences. The field which is loaded with Auto bids from mid majors with worse RPI's than Ohio. Looking at the rpi's of the 13 and 14 seeds Ohio is very strong vs those teams interms of rpi.

I'd guess a 14. Ohio's RPI is similar to Belmont, Davidson and New Mexico State.

Of the lower conference auto bids I'd guess
14 Seeds - Montana + 3 of 4 above
15 Seeds - Loyola MD, LIU-Brooklyn, Lehigh, Detroit
16 Seeds (6 including playing games) - Lamar, UNC Asheville, Norfolk St, Vermont, Mississippi Valley State, Western Kentucky

We are now #51 in the RPI.

You guys are way overvaluing RPI. The committee has said for the last few years it's a very minor tool used as part of the field selection process, but not used at all in seeding.

RE: Ohio NCAA draw?
Surveying some of the bracket prognosticators, they see Ohio as a 13 in Nashville vs. Wisconsin, a 14 vs. Wichita St. unknown location, a 13 vs. Indiana in Nashville, and 14 vs. Marquette, unknown location.

I'm sure there will be more weighing in this morning. Some of these guys not only pick the field very well (not who should be in, but who will be picked) and get the seed lines pretty spot on.

The one S-curve had Ohio as the last 13 seed, the second one as the 3rd 14 seed, and the last one as the last 14 seed. (The 3rd one didn't have an S-curve.)

No way in hell do they get a 15 seed. There are 11 automatic qualifiers alone that have significantly worse resumes than Ohio. I think the worst they get is a 14 but more likely a 13.

16 seeds
WKU (189)
Mississippi Valley State (143)
Vermont (135)
Norfolk State (128)
Detroit (125)
Lamar (106)

15 seeds
UNC-Asheville (103)
Lehigh (91)
LIU (81)
Loyola (Md) (77)

RPI isn't the end all but Ohio's 47 RPI is still significantly better than all of these teams. No way do any of them get a better seed than the Bobcats.

15 seed would be unlikely.

wouldn't that be ironic! i'm sure if there was a way for Georgetown to lobby the Selection Committee against that happening, they would do it! LOL

Lundari's latest bracket had OU as a #13 seed.

OU went into their final OOC game 12-1 with 3 votes in the AP top 25, their OOC helps more than it hurts. The biggest negative was losing to EMU and Toledo, they win those games and they tie Akron at 13-3 and win the tie breaker for regular season champ and #1 seeding. OU would be 28-5 and probably a 12 seed.

they're already talking about it on the Gtown boards. They don't want anything to do with Ohio, Davidson, or VCU.

You want Indiana--they lost one of their main guards to an ACL then lost in their next game in the B10 tourney. Ohio wants to see a team with guard issues. Still be a tough matchup, but that's life for a 13/4 or 14/3 game.

Bonnies about to steal the last spot in the field by taking out X. I'm guessing Northwestern's. Takes another NIT spot, too, assuming St. Bon wouldn't have been invited there and the last team out goes NIT.

Plus Indiana hasn't beaten a good team on the road all year.

If they get Florida St, that would not be good for them haha. I think FSU might move up to a 3 seed though after this weekend

Michigan vs Ohio in Midwest. 13 seed playing in Tennessee. Ohio could bring a nice crowd.
