I almost kicked in my TV when we stole the ball and Guyn ran right by the ball thinking someone else would pick it up. All our guys have heart - but some are young and some need to use their heads more (JJ). Guyn was out of his element tonight as a freshman. Honestly, Behanon had the same issue on the UL side. He played pretty poorly.

Good point.

UC held UofL to just one FG in the last 8:16 of the game. Defense was definitely not the issue.

Yep, it was a lot like the Georgetown game, but instead of hitting FT and getting good shots we missed FT and turned the ball over. Great effort in that stretch of the game, but we just couldn't capitalize on all the defensive stops.

Yeah, our offense, which has struggled for most of the season, legs or no legs tonight, was what let us down. We had plenty of chances in the last 5 minutes. Geez, U of L went up by 14 and UC had a chance to get it within 2 points but kept turning the ball over while their defense held strong. Just couldn't convert when they needed to.

The committee is going to look to punish the OOC schedule. I fully expect an 8 seed.

Though, honestly, the way the game was officiated it would be hard not to have a good defensive effort. The defenses could get away with murder most of the game. The refereeing is why is was good to switch to the man to man. It is easy to guard your man when you can put both of your hands on him.

Still, I loved that the team didn't give up and kept the effort up. I honestly believe they were mentally exhausted after the last two big wins.

Plenty of time to get recovered before the NCAAs.

I just hope we can avoid one of these bad offensive halves in the tournament. Since the start of last season we have lost 19 games. In 15 of those losses we scored in the 50's or worse.

If I have a criticism on the defense side, it would be that UC should've gotten out of the zone sooner due to the way the refs were calling the game. If they'll allow the slapping and hip checking then you have to do it back in a m2m d. I thought the m2m d breathed some life into the offense too. But the d did not cost UC the game.

I expect a 7 or 8 seed....mostly likely it will be one or the other. Obviously a 7 is a world better than an 8

Totally agree on this. If a half like todays happens in the NC2A UC will be sent packing. Anyone whose watched them this year knew this could happen. UC has won games because usually someone has had the hot hand (or a hot enough hand) so that even if the others were cold they scored enough to get the W. But tonight it was Antarctica time for all of them

Sucks that the team went cold as a group tonight.

Usually they are either all hot from three or all cold.

Meh. Neither team looked good offensively tonight. Too many games in too many days. And UC is offensively challenged to begin with. Having no legs doesn't help an already offensively challenged team.

The majority of his 3's were uncontested against Syracuse and that was not the case tonight. According to ESPN we had just 5 uncontested shots all night. I just wish he could have hit one or two of his tough layup chances.

Our out of conference schedule is looking a whole lot better, Marshall has gone from a bad loss to a quality win for other teams, by reaching their final.

Xavier reached their conference final. Our current rpi is in the 40's not the 60's I say, 6 seed.
