Womens Tournament
Best tournament in many a year. All games were competitive. CMU almost pulled off winning 5 games to win the tournament. I think their 4 freshman (3 made the all freshman team) were unaware they were tired. They lost by 1 today when EMU made a shot with about 1.5 seconds left. By the way they did play tired in the second half but they fought their way from 10 down to almost pull it off. Their best player was a fresman and she could create her shot almost at will. When 80% of the lay-ups start going down she will be next to unstoppable.

Best of all the most obnoxious fans in the league the BG womens fans where shut-up by CMU in the semis. It was good to hear the silence. They were especially upset since they are hosting the NCAA 1st and 2nd rounds at their new arena and I'm sure they thought their team would be there. Of course the crazy womens tournament might let them in as a 14 seed and give them home court just to draw an extra 5000 fans. The MAC is ranked 12 on the womens side so it could happen.
