Not sure how many Pirate fans know this, or knew him, but I have just been informed that an old friend of mine, Greg Zittel, who played football for ECU and wore the number 49, died last Friday after hip surgery. I knew him from the CUSA board on AOL back in the days when it was very active, he went by the screen name Greg49.

Greg was a good guy and a good father. I just thought you folks might want to know.
