RE: New NIU Hoops Verbal
Every guy on a bball team is not going to be good. Teams need a great player, good player, a couple steady reliable guys, a guy who does the dirty work and a couple energy instant offense guys off the bench. This team has a good player in Nadar. Two steady reliable guys in Nixon and Bolin. I believe Ford and Christiansen will be the instant offense guys off the bench. I believe Mader will be the dirty work player and not sure we have found the great player yet. The team and coaches are starting too see the roles each guy will play. It is montys job to fill these roles and the players job to work hard and develop in the offseason. We should see a more confident and mature team next year! This years team lost about 5-6 games they could have won. I believe next year they win those games.

Detroit Consortium Highschool senior point gaurd Travon Baker after his official visit to Niu said " I loved the campus and the area. Its not far from Chicago, which is great. I was told I could expect to get immediate playing time and would have a significant role on the huskies". It sounds like Daveon Balls and Baker to run the point gaurd position. I also believe freshman Sam Mader will crack into the starting line-up. Huskies should be able to get a home game in the Mac tourney. The Mac West should be a complete mess!

To say that you cannot improve your shooting is incredibly naive.

+1

Jordan's effective range was maybe 16-18 ft. when he came into the NBA. Pretty much the same for D-Rose. Look at Rose now, vs. 2008 when he came into the league. He was not a 3-point threat then. Now, he has to guarded at the 3-point line. Makes him much more effective and harder to defend.
Those are absolutely terrible examples. You just named the best basketball player in history and the MVP of the league. Both Rose and Jordan were incredibly talented as basketball players.

Doesn't matter. Jordan and Rose were NOT good shooters when came into the league. They made themselves good shooters through hard work. It didn't just happen because they're talented.

Kenny Battle is an example of a player that was extremely talented, but never developed his outside shot. Great college player, but because he didn't have a shot, he didn't last long in the NBA.
Jordan averaged 28 PPG as a rookie in the NBA and shot 51% from the field! How can you say he wasn't a good shooter?

Go back and watcha little tape. No shots longer than 20 ft. He took the ball tothe rim and got fouled a lot. He did not develop a true jump shot until he worked on it over the next few off seasons. This is a great example. Sorry that you do not get it.
