ACC a 4 bid league this year
Honestly unless NC State and Miami can make the finals no one outside of Duke, UNC, FSU, and UVA should make the field.

Knowing the power 6 bias though ACC will probably have 6 teams in while deserving teams outside of the power 6 will be left out in the cold. 03-banghead

I think you mean at most 5. And I dont know of a 5th team that is deserving but will probably get in.

I think Virginia Tech could sneak in if they have a strong showing at the ACC Tourney.

VT is 4-11 in the ACC this year. Unless by "strong showing" you meant "win the ACC tournament outright"?
(we aren't even going to the NIT this year)

My bad Hokie Mark... For some reason I thought VT was doing better than that...

RE: ACC a 4 bid league this year
Right now four teams have a chance to finish 9-7. Miami already did that and the others play Sunday. I don't think it is out of the question for Miami or State to be a fifth team out of the conference to make it in if the can win a couple of games in the tourney. Miami would have the bigger wins during the season but State beat them head to head twice. It could be a tough call. They might make it easier on themselves and take neither or maybe take both. Of course State's got to knock of VT tomorrow to start the ball rolling.

I was referring to SU. 03-razz

Lunardi has the ACC's guaranteed 4. Plus he has Miami on the bubble. If the win some ACC Tourney games, they're probably in.

I want to say/wish for at most 4 but we all know the committee thinks the more power 6 teams the better when in fact teams like Butler, Wichita State, ODU, ect brings more drama and ratings. Esp when one of them gets a run going and people start tuning in to see what all the fuss is about

I think NC State (current RPI of 58) is getting into the field, partially due to WF AD Ron Wellman being in the Selection Committee, and partially b/c NC State has a pretty good road record.

And, if they do get in, the fans will likely have to send a "Thank You" note to former coach Herb Sendek, whose Sun Devils likely knocked Arizona off the bubble this afternoon.

Talk about irony.

And if Pittsburgh can win 5 games in 5 days, then ACC will have 6.02-13-banana

Talk about irony.

During the VT NCState game today, NCState's record against the top 50 in the RPI dropped from 2-6 to 0-6 as Miami dropped out of the top 50 RPI schools. I hope NCState gets in but I won't be surprised if y'all are left out.

Yeah, if VT or any of the other league dregs can win the ACC tourney, then the ACC will have 6 too.
