"Some guy in Dallas is on my case about supporting Louisville for Big 12 expansion. You can make arguments both for and against Louisville. The same guy seems to hold up SMU as some sort of Big 12 blind spot, that the Mustangs should be considered for expansion. Only one problem: You can not make a case for the Big 12 inviting Southern Methodist University."

I know that is a thread to ease peoples mind on Louisville, but there was a little doubt in that article as well. I know BT is one of Louisville's biggest supporters, but sometime a little info or none goes a long way IMO. The fact he stated we wouldn't bring enough financially was a little disturbing for if we don't bring it then why are we on of the highest revenue making school in the country??? If he would have just left it at the networks not being to keen to us, but Louisville would make up in ways one can not imagine that would have been enough stated. Sometimes IMO little or no info is the best info, and I personally can not wait till the invite comes so Louisville can show what the networks have been missing. Go Cards

Big difference in us bringing in revenue for our own school and providing revenue to the conference (tv) We obviously do pretty good with tv ratings/revenue but it doesn't exactly relate back to what UL brings in for itself in revenue.

I honestly think if we are able to sell are product all over the country in which provides us being one of the highest revenue schools in the country then there shouldn't be no reason to think a conference could make money as well. I understand TV is running the show, and Louisville's market is a mediocre one ( #48 ) in the country, but ratings don't lie for a lot of are games have been highly rated. I think the appeal is there it just needs to be marketed in the way that Louisville is able to make money, and in doing so a conference should have no problem making money off of us. If we were not attractive enough then so be it, but we are in all sports not just one or two that the networks look at or make us out to be.

Our market is average but we control our market and deliver it. That's the main thing.
