I know I'm a bit of a homer, but riddle me this:

Player (A), scores more points and averages more assists and plays more minutes than player (B). How does player (B) become FOY over player (A)?!?

That's highway robbery, folks. This is not the type of award that should go to a guy whose team has a better record.

Love should have a HUGE chip on his shoulder going into the offseason and for next season....

Also, Academic All-Conference is criteria and GPA based. All the members of the team boast a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or better and participated in at least half of their team’s games. Find out who qualified versus who made it and then we can talk about it being a bit fuzzy.

It's not racists, but it is wrong. As for the all academic team, well, I'm going to assume that Mike was just trying to be a "spoon" and stir up a little controversy on the page....

I'd be interested to see which coaches voted for which players. I'm sure it came down to 1 or 2 coaches having Green higher than Love, so that it was a cumulative score. As in "vote for your top 3 FOY." Then points being assigned for whether someone was 1, 2, or 3 on each coach's list. Still, Love shoulda been shown more "love."

I appreciate your humor and mixing it up, but most folks aren't that open minded to go with it and I didn't want anyone to start a politically correction rant on you.....though, in hindsight, it would've been hysterical for me...

Again, you have to know who qualified before you can throw out any crazy claims. Also, if I am not mistaken nominations are taken from each program, so if players are left off its because their own coach's and adminstrators didn't deem them worthy. Its the same with all conference and the like...each program nominates its athletes.
