Here are my predictions for the A-Sun tournament. A-Sun Tournament Predicitons 2012 I like Belmont to win it again this year. I like USC Upstate to make it to the finals. Who do you think will win this year?

Hating on the home team!? I wouldn't expect any type of write up to pick against Belmont -- and for good reason -- but the fact remains that this year's Mercer team has the best chance to win the tournament compared to the last several years.

Upstate is good, but rely on Craig. That's the downfall I've seen at Mercer in the past. Rely on one guy and the team is bound to slip up at some point.

FGCU has a nice chance to knock off Upstate since they can score the ball and both teams lack experience.

I'll pick Belmont in a physical game over Jacksonville (Hope I'm wrong!).
Bartow gets ETSU by North Florida in a tight one.
FGCU catches Upstate with stars in their eyes. Upstate has all the pressure on them during this game.
Mercer gets by Lipscomb as they've done all season -- and now without Burgason.

Bartow and ETSU team inspired for multiple reasons beat Belmont on the way out of the conference. It's their last chance!
Mercer can handle FGCU... and Upstate if they need to. 6-0 against Lipscomb, FGCU, and Upstate this season.

Mercer/ETSU is a dream finals and I hope it comes true.

They are the home team which makes them dangerous. No hate just though Upstate might take the W. It will be a close game if thats the matchup. I like the ETSU sleeper pick.

I don't think Upstate is quite seasoned enough in the mysteries of 3-wins-in-3-days tournament play this time around. Next year or year after, quite possibly though.

I believe Mercer students will be storming the court on Saturday night after they beat Belmont.

Mercer in a fight against Lipscomb. Mercer absolutely crushing Lipscomb in every statistic except turnovers. This is keeping Lipscomb right in the game. For almost the first 10 minutes I don't think LU even had a defensive board. It was either a made shot or a turnover.

Mercer moves on and gets a nice wake up call in that game. That was brutal game where MU just let Lipscomb hang around. Too many turnovers and shots just not falling. Even so, a great battle by the team to hang on and win. On to the next!

Great run by FGCU.

Man...I feel I just had my heart ripped out of me.

I had a friend pinch me when we were up by 13...I know it couldn't be real but I couldn't stop from thinking that it was. My hometown school, the school I grew up 15 minutes away from as they built it out of the swamp, the one where I went to the first D-I game in school history, was just 20 minutes away from going to the Big Dance.

My head kept saying no, but my heart was screaming yes. I don't think I've ever been this ate up over a loss before.

The girls are dancing, though. Which is all I could have hoped for....until it became so much more.
