Good place to eat before the game in Kent
So where is a good place to eat in Kent before the women's game tonight?

And NO - Taco Tonto's is not what I am looking for (might be a spot for on the way out of town though).

What are "THE" places to eat in Kent?

Mike's Place or Ray's Place. Both very college-culture oriented.

Cajun Daves has great food. It is located inside of the Water Street Tavern. WST has a lot of cool KSU sports memorabilia.

I miss Jerry's Diner. Sometimes they'd have the special where you got a free angioplasty after the hash browns.

I think Kent was the first place I had Chipotle. I had no idea what to do when I went.

Was that because it was the first time you had seen paved roads and indoor plumbing since enrolling at Ohio University in Athens?

(laughing) Ha, no. I might still have been in high school. Anyone know when that Chipotle opened?

Definitely Ray's or Water Street Tavern if you want any sense of a college town pre-game vibe. Mike's Place is great for breakfast, but sucks for everything else.

Chipotle opened sometime around 2005-2006. I know it opened while I was at one of tech schools I attended for the AF. I came back home and that was the place to go.

Earlier than that Chipotle was here when I first came to Kent in the Fall of 2002 and it was well known by then so it must have been there before that time as well.
