1. regular season West tie or outright win. (men and women)
2. Tourney title (men and women)
2a. with a tourney title you get at least an NCAA first round banner.
3. WNIT appearance banner. (women)
4. NIT, CIT, or CBI banner (men)

How many do you think we'll hang in Savage for this seasons efforts?

I know this isn't what your asking, but I wish we would stop hanging banner for division championships. Yes, they are nice to win, but that is almost like rewarding mediocrity. Or maybe just have 1 banner for MAC Champions, 1 for MAC West, 1 for NIT, etc.

Winning the regular season used to mean something tho, because even if the division was terrible you were rewarded the #2 seed. But it also means nothing because it still doesn't get you into the NCAA.

And the men wouldn't have many banners if you were only allowed one banner per season lol. I think if Toledo went on a ten year run or something where they did something good every year, they would take down the division ones. Or just make the banners a lot smaller so they could fit. Our banners are nicer than anyone else I have seen in the MAC. Until we can constantly do better than division championships, we've got to keep them for some kind of remembrance of our "decent" teams.

I'm not saying 1 per season. Have 1 banner for MAC West Champions with the years on it. 1 for MAC CHampionship with the years on it, etc.

Oh I see. The current banners are only 3 or 4 years old, and it would be a waste of money in my mind. Unless they auctioned the old ones off.... It's probably not a realistic change tho. The way you want it would mean the mens (blue banners) would be: Mix, Charalumbus, MAC division banner, MAC Tourny champs banner, then what about NCAA? Making the NCAA in general is just winning the MAC tourny, right?
IMO the way Savage does it with the girls banners on one end, and the guys on the other is nice.

IMO the way Savage does it with the girls banners on one end, and the guys on the other is nice.

At least we don't have any volleyball banners to screw everything up.

I don't disagree but anything on the mens side will make me happy after going through the "Cross" era.

A womens MAC tourney banner, and a mens division one are both still a little above expectations but very doable. Heck if Toledo can get to the finals of the MAC tourney, they could even get a CBI bid.

If the Rockets reach the MAC finals, then you are looking at a 20+ win season... Way beyond our realistic expectations for this season...

20+ wins used to mean something

that was a heck of a season

In perspective...based on where UT is coming from...that would be outstanding...and there were some close losses as well.

But with this watered down schedule...well, 20 wins doesn't make UT a good ballclub.
