I'm pretty sure Texas State will be joining the league, Benson would be a fool not to extend the invite.

Is that right on campus?

Nice!

I hate that right now South students have to travel all the way down to Ladd to go to the games.

I can't wait for our OC stadium.
Hopefully the Powers That Be take a good look at that yall's when deciding how to plan it.
I really like that layout.

Wait, is South planning on building an on-campus stadium? I thought yall were happy with Ladd-Peebles?

It's down the road a ways.
No specific dates.
The University has made it clear that they want an OC stadium and are making preliminary plans, but they can't say no to Ladd's "Play here for free!" deal right now.
The going joke is that the new stadium goes right next to the statue of the $100 million donor.

Personally, I am tired of Ladd. All that history doesn't change the fact that it hasn't been improved sufficiently to host a FBS program.
The scoreboard is a joke.
The layout is sub par.
Parking sucks (although I get there so early that it doesn't affect me).

You would think a stadium that hosts the Senior Bowl, the Go Daddy, and now the USA Jaguars would spend a dollar or two on some upgrades.......

With all those bowls and now USA football I cannot believe they havent improved it at least as much as the City of Memphis has the Liberty Bowl

Ladd's only saving grace is beer sales during the game.

Yall have a similar deal going with the GA Dome don't you?
Indefinite Free to Play time?
They just take the concessions money?
But that is the freaking GA Dome. With Arthur Blank pumping in money every year and walking distance from your campus.
Ladd isn't anywhere near that quality or convenience of location.

I REALLY hope Texas State gets an invite now.
The USA BoT can't help but look at that stadium and get motivated.

Come on, now. Lets be fair...

They have put A LOT of money into it over the last decade.
The blue/red bleachers are a very nice touch. The Press Box is nice on the outside (though I heard there is not much room on the inside). The artificial turf is a nice add.

And hey, it is still alot better than the monstrosity up in BHam.

Texas State and UTSA are no-brainer additions to the Belt. Still not sure what happens to UTA. Do we take them as well?

UTA will be adding football in the future. Take them now and stay in the DFW metroplex. Add them and UNC-Charlotte both can add football and play at the FCS indy for a few seasons to build their programs and then both can join football at the same time.

Being better than Legion Field isn't tough.

Don't get me wrong. I will always have fond memories of Ladd.
As a kid we always went to the Senior Bowl. It was my favorite family trip every year.
USA's football program would be a lot further behind if it hadn't been for their generous offer to use Ladd free of charge.

But she is falling apart.
She is the 40 year old who still wants to go clubbing.
And the owners refuse to buy any more turd polish.

Ladd is also 17 years older than the Liberty Bowl, and the Liberty Bowl is all concrete...Ladd is one of those "erector set" stadiums.

If UNT leaves, I would like to see Texas State take their spot. If UNT stays, I still wouldn't mind having them in the SBC still.

I agree. If UNT leaves then add Texas St. and UTSA if available. If UNT stays then add just Texas St.

We're in a good position unless CUSA goes nuts and adds 5 plus which is unlikely
