Quote:A Rocket has collected the honor in five straight weeks.

Quote:Also, if UT beats NIU on Wednesday or if Miami loses at Bowling Green that same evening, the Rockets will secure a home game in the first round of the MAC tournament on March 5.

RE: UT guard Julius Brown earns MAC honors this week
Julius Brown, as Mid-American Conference West Division Co-Player of the Week, earned this honor for the second-straight week. He's got to be atop the running for MAC freshman of the year.

Really shouldn't be anyone close. McBroom from CMU is doing well but Brown lit him up this time around. Brian Something from Miami is a big time shooter but not much else and Brown is leading him in almost all stats areas except three point shooting. Nader from NIU is playing well but he's kinda like Barnett- he gets his points because hes the ONLY good player they have. Everything runs through him. Juice has the ability to do whatever is needed-be a playmaker and feed the scorers when they're hot, or BECOME a scorer when they're not. And he seems to know when to turn up the wick and when to be a role player. he is going to be a special player for UT.
