What the heck happened?

I'd like to know as well. Three of them of them never played, and the fourth was the best player in NIU history. Dying to know where shes going. Did U of I grab her?

I realize Gooden is an intense guy. Could that have made the others leave? Without Wicinski, goodbye MAC title.

The U.S. Women's National Team program held the tryout for players who have concluded their college eligibility and who wish to be invited to be a member of the U.S. Women's Volleyball National Team on a full-time basis. The program could begin as early as the spring of 2012, or when an athlete's scholastic or professional club season has concluded. Also considered for training with the U.S. Women's National Team will be athletes who have remaining college eligibility; however, their participation will begin in mid-May or when their scholastic calendar ends for 2012.

If she left the team to play for the US team, good for her. If we just lost her to another school though, that'd be a real shame.

Or she got to know some people who suggested it might be better for her volleyball to go elsewhere. I don't see why she would have to request a release if it were just to play on the national team.

If she's out, I'm done with Gooden. Outside of the last couple years he's been unexceptional, and women's volleyball at NIU had done too much before him to be unexceptional.

I don't think you need a release if you were to go to the national team. You would need a release to change schools.

Say Wicinski made the national team. Would she need a release if she studied at another college, advancing her degree, while training?

Makes sense. Hopefully she doesn't end up at UofI.

Not sure, but I think you would only need a release if you planned on getting a scholarship elsewhere.

She only came here to begin with because of her parents connection to NIU.

Its not like she had a chip on he shoulder like Chandler. He didn't even consider transferring out here for his 5th of eligibility to play at a bigger school.

Would she need to sit out a year? Or lose a year of eligibility?
