MT Finishes 16-0, Beats WKU by 15
The MTSU Lady Raiders beat WKU by a score of 77-62 at E.A. Diddle Arena in Bowling Green. MT star Ebony Rowe led all scorers with 27 points (and 10 rebounds for yet another double-double) and scored her 1000th career points this afternoon, becoming only the second sophomore in school history to garner that achievement (she'd better be POW!!). Lauren March came off the bench, hit 3 three pointers, and had a career high 11 points and great 7 rebounds. MT runs the table in conference play, going 16-0, undefeated for the second time in the SBC era and only the 6th time in SBC history. Go Blue Raiders!

gotta beef up that schedule a little next season...MTSU is 25-5 with an RPI of 47

that said, with conference realignment going on...MTSU picked a good time to show they can win at hoops.

This is the women's team we're talking about, you know. MT is actually 24-5 with an RPI of 38. I think you may have been looking at the men. Both teams have 24+ wins this year, and you're exactly right - it's a good time for the men to show they can win.

The Middle Tennessee Lady Raiders have had 20+ wins for nine consecutive years, including this year's total of 24. No one else in the Belt comes close to the Lady Raiders.

Even if you are talking about the men, MT couldn't help that UCLA, UAB, etc had down years. We tried to schedule tough, and it didn't fall our way.

The girls OOC schedule is about as tough as it gets. The conference's RPI really drug the overall down this season.

ah, the women...i see.

and yep, i'm sure if we knew MTSU would have a season like this we would have scheduled them...rarely does MTSU have a hoops season like this one.
