That's one - yes. The UC players were standing with their arms straight up in the air and Collins just drove into them and shot - I don't think he was fouled. And Wright was fouled on the shot he made prior to that, but there was no call.
But USF won by getting UC to play their game and tempo. The calls (and no-calls) at the end of the game were a joke, but if UC has made just a few more baskets they would have won, so their poor shooting , and USF's good defense)was the problem today.

USF just kept UC out of sync all day. Even when UC had open looks from beyond the arc they couldn't hit them and whenever UC looked like they were picking up the tempo, Stan Heath would wisely call a timeout to slow the game back down again. Bulls are just so tough defensively and dictate the game well. One of the reasons why they've only lost ONE game at home this year.
Congrats, Bulls.

Tough loss for Bearcats fans, but most of us expected this as a probable loss. The bright side is that UC played terrible on offense and was in a position to win. Oh well.

RE: Bulls 46 Cincy 45
It was a brutally officiated game. Uc attacked the rim the entire second half and did not shoot a single freethrow (and they got mugged on a few of those possessions with guys getting knocked to the floor). UC got called for 5 or 6 absolute nickle-dimers late in the shot clock. The one on Gates in the last minute was brutal.
Then Collins just throws himself into the Bearcat players who have their feet planted and gets a gift call...and calmly drills two free throws (though I'll say on that play we should have picked up man to man, he should never have gotten into the lane that easily).
Then of course because the refs hadn't called USF for any fouls all half they had a foul to give...barely touched Dixon who is going to get a good shot off and the refs call that??? seriously??? That was rough.
Good win South Florida but that was one of those homered games that will be tough to let go.

USF needs to now keep its focus on the last two games. Louisville on the road will be tough and huge if we pull it out but the WV game at home is the key. Win that one and the Bulls would have wins over Cincy, Seton Hall and WV the three other schools that are the bottom of the Big East bid teams

collins drives into a sea of bearcats, perfect strategy. jesus. i was at the bar so i didn't get to see it all that closely, but probably 8 times out of 10 (even if there is no contact), it's a foul. hate to see us lose on free throws, esp after cash made that shot. i hate when people blame officiating. it's the one thing a team can't control. congrats usf. even though we are a highly erratic team, you made us play your style. now go out and knock off them big dogs. get in the dance. go annoy somebody else. :)
