Committed to Michigan earlier today. SMH, these are the kinds of kids we need to succeed moving forward.

I saw this but don't really know what kind of a loss it is. He picked Michigan so it's not like it's hard to swallow for me. What I don't know is how good he is or if he was even considering us.

Seeing a local 4* heading out of town is always a tough pill to swallow for me esp when its a linemen. I did hear about a solid line prospect from the South Hills visiting either this weekend or last.

From what I have read on the other boards, he's not really local. Am I correct in saying his father works for the Steelers and they only moved here within the last few years? If so, that's not really a loss of a local kid in my mind.

Interesting point. I've forgot about that. The other linemen I was thinking of is Johnson from Belle Vernon. He's 6'6 275. I'm hoping he can pack up 30-35 pounds to get to about 310-315.

The most exciting and important test of Chryst's early tenure as a coach at Pitt is going to revolve around how well he handles the OL. His offenses at Wisconsin have featured great offensive lines and I don't believe he had access to clearly superior talent, either. With his offense, OL play is going to be extremely important and I'm really looking forward to seeing if our kids can play at that level too.
