Women's basketball
Just got back from the game and I discovered what a good basketball program looks like. BG has 1 senior, 4 juniors, 4 soph. and 4 freshaman. Their subs scored on our "vets". I think it was a 45 point loss. They pressured the ball, shot the ball well and never let up. Their coach has been there since 2001 and except for the first three years has won the division every year and has played in the championship game every year except two and averaged over 20 wins each year. He is a good friend of Lindsey and I believe he was a grad assist here. We honored the manager as a senior. We had no seniors 4 juniors, no soph and 4 freshman. It seems like a difficult way to try to maintain any continuity in the program. Unlike BG.........

Even though we look good at times against the teams between 4th and 12th when we play BG, Toledo or EMU you can see how far we have to go to be competetive. I agree with the previous post 100%.

RE: Women's basketball
Here's the bragging for Coach Miller and the squad -

BGSU head coach Curt Miller and his staff are performing one of their top coaching jobs in their decade-plus at BGSU, having orchestrated this season's success with a very youthful squad ... nine players on the roster are either freshmen or sophomores ... the Falcons lost six players, including four starters, from a year ago ... that group of graduates combined for nearly 5,500 points, 2,400 rebounds and 1,000 assists in their BGSU careers.
=====

Coach Miller was an assistant for Coach Lindsey at Kent State right out of college. He often gives Coach Lindsey big props when he talks about the coaches he has learned under.

But the real reason for my posting this morning is that I was impressed with the ladies on your team last night (especially in the second half). They were down by a large number, but they never quit. Even at the end of the game as our girls were just trying to run out the clock, you had two girls that forced us to move the ball around. Where I thought your guys might have given up at BG, the women played hard the entire game.

I know it's been a tough year for Coach Lindsey and I would hate to see him go without an opportunity for the conference opponents to have the chance to recognize him at each MAC arena (he's earned that honor).
